Latte 400 TL, bonito 300 TL

There is something wrong with this picture. 

We all know that eating out has become a luxury.

It doesn't matter if you eat at a luxury restaurant or a regular one. Wherever you eat, it now counts as a luxury.

The balance is off.

As you know, the bonito season has begun. 

We are still 10 days away from eating bonito as steaks, but it is the perfect time to eat it as fillets.

The other day, I called Saffet Balıkçı, the famous fishmonger in Sarıyer. I said, "I'm coming to eat bonito." 

This is not a restaurant. It is a wholesale fishmonger that supplies fish to restaurants along the European side's coastline.

You will see the plate they prepared for me below. 

One bonito fillet, 5 pieces of sardines, and a cola. 

I ate it with pleasure. 

I am so out of touch with prices now that I cannot even guess what anyone will charge. 

The figure I heard when I asked for the bill truly astonished me. 

Granted, it is not a restaurant. But you can order fish. They cook it and send it to your home. At the same time, you can buy it raw and cook it at home yourself. 

They said the bill was 300 TL.

Believe me, I was really surprised. 

After all, they made a profit, even if it was small.

I repeat, it is not a restaurant, but from now on, remember these plates when you eat fish at a restaurant. 

Considering that even a latte costs 400 TL at almost every coffee shop, you can imagine the imbalance in the food and beverage sector. 

Say what you will, I regret the money I spend on coffee. 

I prefer to eat a meal with the money I would spend on coffee.

Who imposed drinking coffee out on us? But this trend will come to an end one day. 

My advice to you, especially to the youth, is to cut down on coffee.
