Forget military service, they want 'Partnership'!..

Pervin Buldan, the constant name for courier services to İmralı during the 'opening' processes, said in a speech in Hakkari in 2013, referring to the Syrian PKK: 'Kurds have now achieved their status. The status achieved in Syria will very soon be achieved in Turkey as well through the struggle of the Kurdish people... There may be borders in between in Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey, but Kurds are one piece, one body, one voice, and one heart in the whole of Kurdistan.'

While the US-Israel partnership designs the region by setting up tables in Syria and Iraq and declaring war on Iran, our officials, using these developments as a pretext, have once again sat at the table with the terrorist leader and passed a law called the 'root/framework' for the return of PKK members. Everyone knows and sees that this is the 'first step/first door' and that more will follow.

To understand the targeted 'range', let us first underline the following:

When AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik announced on December 16, 2023, that Erdoğan had asked Assad to 'grant equal citizenship to Kurds' and 'make reforms' before he even started the massacres, we asked, 'Is it possible that those who make this proposal for Syria are not planning the same thing for Turkey?'

Last Friday was the 25th anniversary of the founding of the AKP. In his speech there, while explaining the PKK opening, Erdoğan said, 'Turkey is now rising. The dawn of the Turkish century is breaking right now. Our brotherhood is gaining meaning again, our strength is being added to our strength, history is being rewritten. Open the roads, the great Republic of Turkey is coming.'

In a program broadcast on Al Jazeera last night, Erdoğan also stated that Kurds in Syria would 'have a share in peace and stability,' and said that Turkey would continue to strengthen its relations with Kurdish communities across the region and protect their rights.

Let us also look at the DEM, the political wing of the PKK.

Spokesperson Ayşegül Doğan answered a question regarding the 'role of the Kurdistan region' concerning the PKK law as follows:

'On one hand, we maintain the view that we must strengthen unity among Kurds. There are great dangers awaiting Kurds in the Middle East. The security of Kurds must become a fundamental priority in every region. Unity is of great importance for both Kurds and the Middle East. Therefore, the role assumed by the Kurdistan Region is positive. We value this role. This positive role must continue after today. Much greater needs will arise in the future. We are at the beginning of a new struggle.'

Group Deputy Chairman Sezai Temelli also emphasized that with this law, Kurds have 'started an important struggle on the basis of equal citizenship' and said, 'In this respect, it is a critical period, a critical threshold. We are also aware of the difficulty of this. But I believe that with the strong solidarity and struggle of the Kurdish people, and with the four parts of Kurdistan approaching the issue with the same understanding, we will overcome these difficulties together... We are talking about a massive Kurdish issue. We are no longer talking about an issue limited to the country or the region, but one on a global scale.'

HOW IS THIS SURRENDER?

After these notes, let us look at how the Syrian PKK, which looks like the SDF and which the pro-government media claims has 'surrendered', is actually 'surrendering' under the management of the terrorist leader from İmralı.

At the UN Security Council meeting on July 21 with the Syria agenda, while the term 'Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria' was used for the region under SDF control, it was noted that there are disagreements between the Damascus administration and the SDF on many issues, and that negotiations are continuing, especially on topics such as the integration of the so-called women's defense units (YPJ), the reorganization of administrative structures, and the management of natural resources.

Nechirvan Barzani, who went to Damascus for the first time in early August and met with Colani/Shara, was welcomed with a giant 'Kurdistan' flag without an Iraqi flag. Muhammed İsmail, head of the Syrian Kurdish National Council (ENKS) affiliated with the Barzanis, argued that the most reasonable model for Syria is 'decentralization' and said that Nechirvan Barzani's mediation played a key role in this process.

Mazlum Kobani, the head of the SDF, who is wanted by Turkey with a red notice, described Barzani's visit as 'historic' and said, 'Nechirvan Barzani has always played an important role in supporting the Kurdish cause in Syria and Kurdistan in general.'

While Colani/Shara held a meeting with Mazlum Kobani on the 'integration' agenda immediately after Nechirvan Barzani, Abdulkerim Ömer, the Damascus representative of the so-called autonomous administration, made the following statements:

'The Kurdistan Region, the US, and France played a very important role in bringing the views closer and reaching this stage of dialogue. Nechirvan Barzani is also personally involved in making this process practical... The Syrian Ministry of Defense stated that there are no women's units in their structures. Therefore, it was proposed that the YPJ be incorporated into the Ministry of Interior. Our women's units will serve collectively under the Ministry of Interior as a group, a force, or a special anti-terror force... Not only military topics but also education and Kurdish mother tongue rights were discussed in the meetings. There are still difficulties to be overcome regarding the Kurdish education system and many other issues.'

Ömer also noted the following:

'The Kurdish issue is not just about the integration of institutions with the state. The problem needs to be solved on the basis of 'political status' and 'partnership'... Our fundamental issue is the principle of 'sharaket' (true partnership)... Kurds are a fundamental part of Syria and must be a true partner at the constitutional level. This cause cannot be solved by just giving a few civil service positions.'

What else happened?

Syria's Kurdish Minister of Education, Muhammed Tirko, said that Kurdish schools would be opened all over Syria, that they are working to make Kurdish the language of instruction, and that they recognize the diplomas issued by the 'autonomous administration.'

Again, what kind of surrender is this; the terrorist leader Mazlum Kobani announced that he 'accepted' Syrian Presidential representative Ziyad Ayish and 2nd Division Commander Evad Casim and reached an agreement on some important issues.

Finally, Mahmut Berhudan, the Kobani official of the SDF, announced that 99 percent of the problems in military integration with the Damascus administration had been overcome, that 10,000 'fighters' had been integrated into the Syrian army, and that the YPG/SDF would be dissolved within a few days, saying, 'We will build the new Syria hand in hand within the framework of one army, one state, one flag, and a common homeland,' while emphasizing that the Damascus administration should also prepare a new constitution that guarantees the rights of different ethnic and religious groups.

The terrorist organization is officially being made a 'partner' to the Syrian administration, and our 'opening' supporters are rejoicing that 'the YPG/SDF is dissolving itself'!..

NOW THEY CAN COME TO TURKEY AND MEET WITH THE MINISTRY OF NATIONAL DEFENSE

Lest we forget, we also made an opening regarding Syria.

After the agreement between Colani/Shara and Mazlum Kobani, the Ministry of National Defense said, 'We evaluate that the assignments to be made within the scope of the integration process will be carried out on the basis of evaluations to be made by the Syrian authorities with state wisdom and security investigations that will result positively,' and even though they gave the message 'do not bring terrorists to certain positions'; Semir Asu, codenamed Sipan Hemo, who is the right-hand man of Mazlum Kobani, who ensured the arming in Afrin under the instructions of Qandil during the Olive Branch Operation we carried out in 2018, and who is also sought by our Ministry of Interior with a 20 million reward, was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Defense of Syria 'responsible for the Northeast' last March; we removed this name from the terror list a few days ago, is that good?!

Here are a few sentences from the challenge of DEM co-chair Tuncer Bakırhan at the Aydın Provincial Congress the other day:

'We struggled, we paid great prices, we came to this day. A table was set up, and the Kurdish issue is being discussed at this table... The establishment of the table itself is of historical importance. For the first time, the Kurdish issue found a place for itself on the floor of the Parliament and actually entered the Parliament records with a law... The denialist regime that denied the Kurdish identity has recognized the Kurdish identity... They say that after this step, the Kurd's demand for language will come. Well, of course it will.'

In other words, he is implying that the 'status' issue that Pervin Buldan voiced 13 years ago has been 'resolved'.

Our purpose in all of this is not to give the message 'look at the so-called integration in Syria and understand the course of events here,' but this:

It has begun to be questioned whether the PKK members who will come to Turkey will perform military service.

What military service?.. The men are officially asking for 'partnership,' but they say they will only come on this condition.

Didn't the terrorist leader in İmralı also say during the 2013 opening process, while asking for the establishment of a 'security commission,' 'Guerrilla is currently the only guarantee of the Kurds... Who will ensure the security of the Kurds? Will there be a representative of the Kurds in general security? For example, could a Deputy Undersecretary of the MIT be from the Kurdish Movement? A village security unit that comes to power by election, for example. Like traffic police, municipal police, watchmen affiliated with municipalities...'
