Speaking after the PKK law, which was approved by the chief terrorist in İmralı, passed the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) with a record vote, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, the architect of the initiative, stated that "our unitary national structure and the fundamental characteristics of the Republic are guaranteed." While defending the term "Turkish citizenship," he argued that the PKK's decision to dissolve and lay down arms did not include demands for a separate state, federation, autonomy, or culturalist claims.
Emphasizing that the "terror-free Turkey" process would become a model in our region, Bahçeli said, "The Turkish peace aims to use regional resources in a way that contributes to the development of countries and their societies in an environment of trust, respectful of the internal affairs and territorial integrity of countries. The era of coming from thousands of kilometers away and playing with the fate of the peoples of the region must now be left behind."
Let's move on to the AKP. An information text titled "Terror-Free Turkey Common Discourse" was published under the signature of Hayati Yazıcı, the Head of Political and Legal Affairs, to inform party organizations against questions coming from citizens regarding the PKK law. This text summarized the following:
- "The goal of a terror-free Turkey and a terror-free region is a new horizon opened before Turkey with strong leadership and state wisdom... This vision is a state project."
- "There are no transactions or actions kept secret from our nation regarding the process. It is being carried out transparently, drawing strength from the sagacity of our nation and together with it."
- "(In response to the questions, 'Will the organization's leader be granted the right to hope, will Öcalan be released?') The expressions right to hope and general amnesty are not included in the text of the law."
- "The process is by no means a process of negotiation, bargaining, concession, or general amnesty with the terrorist organization. It aims to eliminate terrorism by using the security and legal capacity of the state. This is entirely a part of our state's security policy and the survival and growth strategy of the Century of Turkey."
- "The fundamental principles of our state, the unity of our nation, and the indivisible integrity of the Republic of Turkey with its territory and nation are never a matter of debate. We will never allow the honor and pride of the State of the Republic of Turkey to be trampled upon. We will never let Turkey bow its head."
Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi also made a statement saying, "There is no political bargain or secret commitment hidden from the public."
THEN WHAT ARE THESE MINUTES?
While the administrators are explaining these to the nation, doesn't a France-based television channel publish the minutes allegedly belonging to the meetings held between the chief terrorist and the İmralı delegation on July 20 and August 2?
According to these minutes; the chief terrorist has decreed such things that it would be fitting to say, "What state wisdom?.. There is no negotiation, concession, or amnesty; there is a turnkey handover!"
What did he decree?
- He said that he was informed about the law, that he would "take part in the disarmament and politicization board with a clarified status," that 80 percent of those in prisons would be released with this law, and that the situation of those sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment would be resolved within 1-1.5 years during the process.
- He said, "If the Kurdish issue... is not resolved, rebellion will come again. This is not a threat. 500 thousand people will rise up, America will get behind them, and it will become a nuisance. The way to avoid this is to base the Republic of Turkey on two pillars."
- Stating that the process would bring him to a certain point, that the Constitution would be taken off the shelf, and that the Kurds would take their place in the Constitution, he said, "Nationalize or Islamicize as much as you want, where will you put these Kurds? A mass of 60 million in the Middle East, and a dynamic one at that. What does dynamic mean? A mass that takes action."
- He claimed that state officials told him, "The nationalist vein has been left behind."
- While talking about the projects to transform Iraq, Syria, and Iran, he asked PJAK not to yield to Iran's attacks and explained that "as these accumulations merge, they will bring themselves to a Middle East union, to its internationalism," and that "if Iran is to be unraveled, it will be unraveled from here."
What he said in the August 2 meeting is as follows:
- "A people of 60 million. They are warriors and can shatter everywhere if they want to."
- "There will be a Kurdish-Turkish democratic alliance. The thing we call democratic integration."
- "Special greetings to Mr. Özgür (Özel). One of his officials should participate in the Parliamentary Monitoring Board. I imposed this board for the CHP."
- "We are discussing the democratic legal solution with the state, not with AKP members... The path to democracy passes through İmralı, not Silivri."
AKP-MHP-DMM ARE DEAD SILENT
Four days have passed since these were spilled out into the open.
There is not a sound from the AKP, the MHP, or the Presidential Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM).
Is it because they are all true?
It appears to be so.
Because on the same day, İmralı delegation members Pervin Buldan and Faik Özgür, who met with a group of journalists in Istanbul, and Veysi Aktaş, who was released after serving as the chief terrorist's secretary in İmralı and has been going from rally to rally giving speeches, made statements confirming what was in the alleged minutes.
For example, Pervin Buldan stated that the chief terrorist would take part in the boards, saying, "We expressed this both in our meetings with state officials and in our meeting with the honorable President..."
Veysi Aktaş said that this process has three stages, that after the first step, the "root law," a democratization process would be initiated, and negotiations aimed at the democratization of the republic would be developed, and after this, a new social contract would take shape with a new constitution. While claiming that "Israel needs a Kurdistan in the Middle East to maintain its existence, but Öcalan rejected this," Aktaş threatened, "If Turkey does not solve this problem, different powers will step in..."
Again on the same day, speaking to the Barzani media, DEM co-chair Tuncer Bakırhan openly relayed the following assessments made by the chief terrorist regarding the KDP-PUK in Iraq and PJAK in Iran during the meetings in İmralı:
"I can summarize Mr. Öcalan's views under four headings. He says: First; the fragmented situation between Sulaymaniyah and Erbil must end. Problems should be solved around democratic principles, and a central regional government should emerge. Second; all powers and dynamics in the Kurdistan Region must have the right to speak and engage in politics in this regional government to be established. Because every fragmented stance makes the region more vulnerable to attacks. Third; Iran must immediately stop its attacks on the territory of the Kurdistan Regional Government, especially Sulaymaniyah and Erbil, and put an end to executions. Fourth; Iran must recognize the rights of the Kurds and display a democratic approach. Turkey should also play a positive role in this process. If Iran does not change its policy of attacking the Kurds and does not end the executions, the Kurds will have no choice but to defend themselves with the spirit of national unity... Iran must act by seeing this reality... The reason why attacks against Kurds are easy today is the fragmentation among Kurds... Because the national perspective is now imposing itself. The world is changing, the Middle East is being redesigned. We are in an era where the name of the one who does not sit at the table is on the menu. In such times, small calculations cost great losses."
ÖZGÜR ÖZEL'S ''STATE CHANNEL''
While the operation to destroy the Republic of Turkey has taken on such flesh and bone, New Party Chairman Özgür Özel still defended his and his party executives' support for the PKK law with the words, "How can we, who aspire to govern the country, say 'no' to the PKK laying down its arms? That is why we voted 'yes' on this issue as a matter of principle." Noting that they would "fight for democratization," he again spoke of "equal citizenship with the mother tongue" and said, "I think equal citizenship will be the guarantee of the unitary state."
However, Özgür Özel's answer to the question regarding the chief terrorist's words directed at him and his party, and the expression "the path to democracy passes through İmralı, not Silivri," was the most interesting of all:
"The İmralı delegation did not inform us of such a meeting. Nothing came through the state channel either. Things are being leaked from somewhere. We are at a point with a high potential for manipulation... That is why I did not put the issue on my radar."
The AKP and MHP say "state wisdom"...
The chief terrorist and those in the İmralı delegation say "state officials"...
Özgür Özel says "nothing came through the state channel"...
Who, what, and how is this "state" they have found common ground on; if only they would name it so we could know too!..
