Artist Adviye Bal invites art lovers on a 'timeless' journey through figures

Having held over twenty solo exhibitions to date and participated in more than 50 group exhibitions in various cities across Germany, Russia, Japan, and Turkey, painter and sculptor Adviye Bal has brought her new exhibition, 'Zamansız / Timeless', to art lovers.

The artist described the title of her new exhibition with the words: "If there is no event, no object, no starting point, then there is no 'now'. If there is no 'now', there can be no past or future. Therefore, where there is nothing, there is no time. Time exists if we exist."

The colors reflected on the retina in the works are reflected in Bal's paintings as abstractions of a simple reality that reveals levels of spiritual energy.

A graduate of Atatürk University's Department of Geography and Marmara University's Atatürk Faculty of Education, Department of Painting, the artist combines these two distinct fields in her work. Her bronze cast and stone carved sculptures reveal a three-dimensional vision of the compositions that overflow from her paintings.

TRIGGERS THE URGE TO REACH COLORS

As an intriguing area of the exhibition, the cosmos room serves both as an important companion to the concept of time in the space and creates an arena where this concept integrates with light, which it has not yet been able to surpass with today's possibilities.

In the cosmos room, it is symbolized that thought, the only phenomenon faster than the speed of light, will create a gateway to a timeless perception. The viewer's urge to infiltrate their thoughts, exceed the speed of light, and reach colors that do not exist in the world is triggered.

Derya Aydoğan, a faculty member at Yıldız Technical University's Faculty of Art and Design and the curator of the 'Zamansız/Timeless' exhibition, commented: "This exhibition seeks to place a timeless perception in the mind by rendering all patterns attributed to time obsolete."

Adviye Bal's 'Zamansız/Timeless' exhibition can be viewed at the new art and design gallery, Red Rouge Art Gallery, between March 02 and March 23, 2024.
