MTV Europe Music Awards cancelled: 'To be held in November 2024'

As announced by film and TV production company Paramount, the MTV Music Awards Night, which was scheduled to take place on November 5, has been postponed due to the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.

The ceremony was set to be held at the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition center with the participation of famous names such as Thirty Seconds To Mars, Jung Kook from BTS, and Renée Rapp, but it will now be rescheduled for November 2024.

Announcing the cancellation decision, Paramount shared the following statement:

''The MTV EMAs are an annual celebration of global music. As we watch the devastating events in Israel and Gaza continue to unfold, it does not feel like a moment for a global celebration. With thousands of lives already lost, it is a moment of mourning. We look forward to hosting the MTV EMAs again in November 2024."

On the other hand, it was stated that this decision was taken ''out of an abundance of caution for the thousands of employees, crew members, artists, fans, and partners who travel from all corners of the world to bring the show to life.''
