2 arrested in drug investigation targeting celebrities

An operation was carried out targeting well-known figures from the worlds of art, sports, and society as part of an investigation conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to protect public health and public order.

It was stated that evidence was obtained during the investigation indicating that some suspects used drugs, facilitated drug use, and provided premises for drug use.

DETENTION ORDERS FOR 24 PEOPLE

Detention orders were issued for 24 suspects as part of the investigation. 21 of the suspects were apprehended by security forces.

Among those detained were actors Aras Bulut İynemli, Melis Sezen, Nilperi Şahinkaya, Melis İşiten, and Hazal Filiz Küçükköse, singer Sefo (Seyfullah Sağır), former footballer Hasan Şaş, journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, and businesspeople Volkan Akçıray and Zeynep Akçıray.

DIFFERENT CHARGES ADDED TO THE FILE

The scope of the file was expanded for some suspects during the investigation process.

It was reported that Volkan Akçıray, Zeynep Akçıray, Eda Güzelcik, Sezer Çakır, Hazal Filiz Küçükköse, and Yeliz Tuba Yasa were questioned not only for drug charges but also for charges of mediating prostitution, blackmail, and violating the privacy of private life.

10 SUSPECTS RELEASED AFTER PROCEDURES

The suspects, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were first taken for a health check. They were then taken to the Council of Forensic Medicine to have blood and sample specimens taken.

10 suspects, including Aras Bulut İynemli, Sefo, Melis Sezen, Melis İşiten, and Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, were released after their procedures at the Council of Forensic Medicine were completed.

5 SUSPECTS REFERRED TO THE COURTHOUSE

Of the 5 suspects whose statements were taken by the prosecutor's office, Sayat Zurnacı, Aytaç Kart, and Muhammet Kahyaoğlu were sent to the duty magistrate judge with a request for arrest.

Judicial control was requested for Nilperi Şahinkaya and Hasan Şaş.
