Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 3 people have been detained in connection with the forest fires in the Yatağan, Ula, and Datça districts of Muğla.
Interior Minister Yerlikaya shared the following statement on his social media account on X:
“Today, 2 suspects have been detained in Yatağan, who are suspected of causing the forest fires in our Muğla province's Yatağan, Ula, and Datça districts. According to initial findings, it has been determined that beekeepers caused the fire that broke out in the Yava neighborhood of Yatağan. In Datça, 1 suspect, who is considered to have caused the forest fire that broke out in the Batır Kızılbük area, has been apprehended. Our forests are our national wealth. They are the most valuable legacy we will leave to our children, who are our future.”
