4.3 magnitude earthquake in Istanbul

A 4.3 magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of Büyükçekmece in the Sea of Marmara.

According to information received from the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), a 4.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 20:33, with its epicenter off the coast of Büyükçekmece in the Sea of Marmara.

The tremor occurred at a depth of 7.01 kilometers.

Citizens who felt the tremor in Esenyurt, Büyükçekmece, and Arnavutköy went out into the streets.

ANOTHER EARTHQUAKE OF 3.7 MAGNITUDE OCCURRED

Following the 4.3 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Büyükçekmece in Istanbul, another earthquake with a magnitude of 3.7 occurred.

According to information received from the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), a 3.7 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 21:07, with its epicenter off the coast of Büyükçekmece in the Sea of Marmara. It was announced that the earthquake, which occurred 17.82 kilometers from Istanbul's Büyükçekmece district, took place at a depth of 7.02 kilometers. According to initial assessments, there were no negative incidents reported following the earthquake.
