50-year casualty balance sheet from terrorist organization: Death toll announced
PKK terrorist Murat Karayılan has announced the organization's losses since 1976 with figures for the first time. According to the stated number, approximately 27 thousand PKK members have lost their lives in conflicts.
The terrorist organization PKK has made its first official statement regarding the number of its members who have lost their lives in conflicts since its establishment. The statement in question was shared by Murat Karayılan, one of the figures leading the organization.
According to Karayılan's statement, the total number of those killed under the PKK umbrella since 1976 has been recorded as 25,922. These losses were stated as 173 people from the organization's establishment until 1983, and 13,778 people in the period between 1984 and 2000. It was stated that 7,949 PKK members died between the year 2000 and 2026.
Apart from this, it was reported that 3,262 organization members lost their lives in conflicts in Syria. Stating that there were individuals who could not be recorded in the losses between 1984 and 2000, Karayılan noted that with the inclusion of these missing figures, the total number reached approximately 27 thousand.
