SEDAT PEKER HAD BROUGHT IT TO THE AGENDA
Mersin Port was one of the addresses mentioned by organized crime leader Sedat Peker in his revelations regarding drug trafficking in Turkey.
Peker had said, "Tons of cocaine were seized at Mersin Port and the ports in the gulf. Whose are these? Still no sound. You fancy 'Sülü' (Süleyman Soylu), who acts like a hero by seizing 10 grams of drugs and having 7-8 people arrested; you will definitely go to prison."
Peker also pointed to Süleyman Soylu regarding the seized drugs and made the following allegations:
"He keeps saying we seized this much cocaine, we seized that much cocaine; I will tell you with evidence and with pleasure in the coming days how substances related to dental health were destroyed instead of these, and how this cocaine was sold to mid-level street dealers in apartments in some luxury residences in the city, especially in the Avcılar region."
HE HAD POINTED TO BİNALİ YILDIRIM’S SON
Last May, 616 packages of cocaine hidden inside banana boxes were seized in a container in the Central American country of Panama, with Mersin Port as its destination.
In his 7th video, Sedat Peker pointed to Erkam Yıldırım, the son of Binali Yıldırım, regarding the cocaine trade.
Regarding this allegation he made, Peker stated, "Let me tell you the truth of the story regarding this cocaine. It used to come through Colombia; the last 4 tons and 900 kilograms were seized on June 9 last year. After this cargo was seized, who went to Venezuela to establish a new route? Our former Prime Minister Mr. Binali Yıldırım's son, Mr. Erkam Yıldırım. Yes... He went at the beginning of this year in January, stayed for 4 days, went in February, stayed for 4 days. There is the Port of Caracas, Venezuela's largest port. Dry cargo ships can come directly to Turkey from there, but container ships stop over in the Dominican Republic and continue that way."
