Abdülkadir Uraloğlu announces: Is Discord being shut down?

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdülkadir Uraloğlu has announced that necessary steps will be taken regarding the Discord platform, which has drawn attention due to videos circulating recently.

Uraloğlu said, "It is impossible not to be horrified when you see what is being shared. We have worked intensively with our ministries and consulted on what needs to be done regarding this issue. Certain measures will need to be taken in the coming days. We will definitely take these measures. Our families and our children are very valuable, so we must protect them."

Minister Uraloğlu stated that they are in contact with the necessary institutions regarding harmful content and have made requests for this content to be blocked. He also added, "We are working 24/7 to closely monitor such incidents. There may be a restructuring in this sense with the Cyber Security Presidency. We are in the top ranks regarding cyber security."

Addressing the issue of shutting down Discord, Uraloğlu said, "We are talking with the deputy ministers. Pulling the plug is in our hands, but this must be done within the framework of the law. I can say that the necessary steps will be taken regarding Discord."
