Making a statement via his social media account, Türk said, "Obscure figures have been usurping the will of the people for three terms. I find the words used shameful and view the accusations made as a sign of weakness."

"There have not been, nor can there be, 'obscure figures' in our municipalities. However, obscure figures have been usurping the will of the people for three terms.
