Airport attack triggers action: Israel decides on 'total blockade' for Gaza

The Israel-Palestine conflict, which began with the 'Al-Aqsa Flood' operation by the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, against Israel, continues on its 3rd day.

The attack, which began on Saturday, has been recorded as the worst breach in Israel's defense since the Arab-Israeli war of 1973. Following a two-year preparation that included Hamas's success in keeping its military plans secret and convincing Israel that it did not want war, the region has become active again.

ISRAEL ON ALERT

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated in his announcement that they would implement a 'total blockade' on the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, and that the blockade would also include a ban on the entry of food and fuel into Gaza.

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesperson Daniel Hagari also stated in his press briefing that there is no ongoing conflict between IDF units and Hamas inside Israel, and that the IDF has regained control of all areas around the Gaza Strip.

AL-QASSAM BRIGADES: AIRSTRIKE CONDUCTED ON BEN GURION

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, also announced in a written statement on Telegram that they had carried out a rocket attack on Ben Gurion Airport in response to Israel's continued attacks on civilians in Gaza. The statement also noted that 100 rockets were fired at the city of Ashkelon as part of the 'Al-Aqsa Flood'. Meanwhile, Israel's airstrikes on various parts of the Gaza Strip continued throughout the night. It was stated that 24 people lost their lives in the airstrikes.

ISRAEL: MORE THAN 500 AIRSTRIKES CONDUCTED IN ONE NIGHT

In a written statement regarding the matter, the Israeli army stated that more than 500 airstrikes were carried out on the Gaza Strip throughout the night. The statement said, "Overnight, fighter jets, helicopters, aircraft, and artillery forces targeted more than 500 points belonging to Hamas and Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip" expressions were used.

The statement, which reported that airstrikes were also carried out on several high-rise residences on the grounds that some officials of Palestinian groups lived there, noted that three tunnels were targeted in the Beit Hanoun region. The statement also pointed out that the Israeli army's attacks on the Gaza Strip would continue.
