Claim from AKP's Şamil Tayyar: 'Absolute Nullity' ruling written in CHP case

AKP member Tayyar alleged that the court has written an 'absolute nullity' ruling, stating that the announcement of this decision may have been postponed due to the political climate.

Şamil Tayyar pointed out that the court panel might be exercising discretion regarding timing, taking into account the social and political repercussions the decision would cause.

Stating that the judiciary can spread such decisions over a period of 15 days or a month in critical processes, Tayyar expressed that tensions in foreign policy, in particular, could be influential during this period.

Emphasizing that Turkey's priorities can shift during moments of crisis that affect the region, such as the tension between the US and Iran, Şamil Tayyar stated that it is natural for decisions that would deeply shake domestic politics to be postponed.
