Ali Babacan reacts to the arrest of Ayşe Barım
DEVA Party leader Ali Babacan reacted to the investigation involving talent manager Ayşe Barım and the actors she represents, stating, "This could only be the subject of a dark comedy series."
DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan has reacted to the arrest of talent manager Ayşe Barım, who was detained on charges of "aiding in the attempt to overthrow the Government of the Republic of Turkey" as part of an investigation accusing her of being one of the planners of the Gezi Park protests.
Sharing his thoughts on his social media account, Babacan stated the following:
"The arrest of a talent management company executive on charges of 'influence peddling,' and the initiation of investigations against actors who say otherwise for perjury, could only be the subject of a dark comedy series. This country should not be governed by a revanchist mentality, but by law and justice."
