Allegations that missing baby in Sivas was given away for money: Father and four others detained
The allegation that an 11-month-old baby was "sold for money" following her disappearance in the Divriği district of Sivas has caused a major stir in the district. As part of the investigation, the father of baby Büşra and four other individuals have been detained, and search efforts are ongoing.
E.B., who lives in the Divriği district of Sivas and works in animal husbandry, contacted the gendarmerie the other day to report that their 11-month-old daughter, Büşra, had gone missing. Evaluating the report, AFAD and gendarmerie teams immediately launched search operations in the area.
Initially, statements from the family suggested that the baby might have been abducted by wild animals. However, authorities became suspicious due to inconsistencies in the family's statements, and the mother, E.B., was called to the police station to provide a new statement. In her statement, the mother, E.B., claimed that her husband had given their daughter away in exchange for money.
Stating that two people got out of a white vehicle that arrived at the house on the evening of the incident and that one of them took the baby away, the mother, E.B., alleged that her daughter was intentionally handed over by her husband. She further claimed that this incident was planned by K.D., Ö.B., R.B., and M.R.B.
Following these serious allegations, a comprehensive investigation was launched by the Divriği Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Along with the father, Y.B., the individuals K.D., Ö.B., R.B., and M.R.B. were detained and questioned.
Authorities are continuing their efforts to verify the accuracy of the mother's claims and to uncover what happened to baby Büşra. While there is no information yet as to whether the baby is alive, the search and investigation are continuing with all available resources.
