Armed attack on teacher in schoolyard in Osmaniye: Teacher critically injured
A teacher was critically injured after being shot by an individual with whom he reportedly had a feud, in the courtyard of Farabi Anatolian High School in Çardak Village, Osmaniye.
An armed attack was carried out against a teacher in a schoolyard in Osmaniye. In the incident that took place in the courtyard of Farabi Anatolian High School in Çardak Village, Osmaniye, teacher M.B. was critically injured.
According to the statement by Osmaniye Governor Mehmet Fatih Serdengeçti, an individual named A.B. fired at teacher M.B., with whom he reportedly had a prior feud, using an unlicensed handgun.

It was reported that the teacher is in critical condition following the attack. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
Serdengeçti's statement is as follows:
“On September 28, 2026, in the courtyard of Farabi Anatolian High School in Çardak Village, Osmaniye, an individual named A.B. fired at teacher M.B., with whom he had a prior feud, with an unlicensed handgun, causing critical injuries.
Our injured teacher was transported to the hospital by medical teams and is currently receiving treatment. Following the incident, as a result of the work carried out by our security units, the suspect was apprehended and taken into custody in a short time, along with the handgun believed to have been used in the incident.
The judicial investigation into the incident is being conducted meticulously. We wish our injured teacher a speedy recovery.”
