Following the accident, the intoxicated driver and his passenger resisted the police officers who attempted to take them into custody, leading to tensions.
At that moment, the driver's relatives, who had heard the news and arrived at the scene, also caused difficulties for the teams, resulting in a scuffle. The group, which attempted to help the driver escape and attacked the police, resisted for a long time despite the intervention of the police teams.
4 POLICE OFFICERS INJURED, 8 DETAINED
Those who fell ill during the scuffle were taken to hospitals by ambulance. While 4 police officers were injured in the incident, 8 people who helped the driver escape and attacked the police were detained.
It was learned that the injured police officers are in good health, and an investigation into the incident has been launched. Efforts are underway to apprehend the driver who fled.
