Breaking News: Framework bill submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey! AKP's Güler announces number of signatures
AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler announced that the framework bill prepared for the second peace process has been submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey with the signatures of nearly 360 deputies.
The framework bill, which has been the focus of attention during the second peace process—architected by MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli and dubbed "Terror-Free Turkey" by the government, involving the DEM Party and the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, Abdullah Öcalan—has been submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler announced at a press conference in the TBMM that the proposal was submitted with the signatures of nearly 360 deputies.
Stating that the framework bill, titled "Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration," consists of 12 articles, AKP's Güler said, "Our legislative proposal consists of 12 articles in total. We have submitted our proposal to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey with approximately 360 signatures. The proposal will be discussed in the Justice Commission on Friday."
Güler's statements are as follows:
“First of all, we would like to express our gratitude to our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to the Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party, Devlet Bahçeli, and as signatories, to the DEM Party Group and the CHP Group. We thank our deputies from HÜDA PAR and the New Path Group who did not withhold their signatures. We have submitted the proposal to Parliament with nearly 360 signatures.”
