Changes to Schengen visas! Effective March 1st
Germany's diplomatic missions in Turkey have announced changes to Schengen visa procedures.
In a statement issued by Germany's diplomatic missions in Turkey, it was noted that changes will be made to the appointment system starting March 18th. According to the statement, the appointment process will be carried out in two steps starting from March 18th.
NEW REGISTRATION OPTION EFFECTIVE FROM MARCH 1ST
The statement indicated that in the first stage, applicants must register for the appointment waiting list and receive a confirmation email.
In the second step, applicants must receive a notification of the date required to submit their visa application through the external service provider iDATA.
Appointments will be allocated solely based on the chronological order of registration, and it was stated that there will no longer be a need for time-consuming searches to find available appointments.
The statement further noted that this new registration option will come into effect on March 1, 2024.
