Chilling incident in Antalya: Pastry chef found dead in his home
In the Manavgat district of Antalya, emergency teams responding to reports of a foul odor coming from a building found a man who worked as a pastry chef at a 5-star hotel dead in the apartment where he lived alone.
In the Manavgat district of Antalya, on 4501 Street in the Aşağı Hisar neighborhood, Manavgat Police Department and 112 emergency health teams arrived at an apartment building following reports from citizens about a foul odor emanating from the building. Upon entering the apartment, they discovered the lifeless body of a man.
HE WAS A PASTRY CHEF AT A 5-STAR HOTEL
The teams identified the deceased as 50-year-old Recep Çamkerten, who worked as a pastry chef at a 5-star hotel in the Kızılağaç neighborhood. It was learned that Çamkerten was married and a father of three, had previously undergone bypass surgery due to a heart condition, and had been living alone in the apartment where he was found for some time.
Recep Çamkerten's body was sent to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute following examinations by the Manavgat District Police Department's Crime Scene Investigation team, the public prosecutor, and the forensic physician.
REPORTED AFTER FOUL ODOR
A citizen who operates a hair salon on the ground floor of the building stated that a foul odor was spreading through the building, saying, "When the odor persisted, we immediately notified the police. The deceased friend had been living here for about 2 months."
