Concrete mixer crashes into two parked semi-trucks in Keşan: Driver hospitalized
In the Keşan district of Edirne, a concrete mixer, allegedly driven by a driver who fell asleep at the wheel, crashed into two semi-trucks parked on the side of the road. The driver of the mixer was injured and taken to the hospital.
A traffic accident occurred in the Keşan district of Edirne after the driver fell asleep at the wheel. The incident took place around 17:00 on Londra Street in the İspat Cami neighborhood.
U.S., the driver of the concrete mixer with license plate 59 KP 617, succumbed to sleep while operating the vehicle. The vehicle lost control and struck two semi-trucks parked on the side of the road. The concrete mixer sustained significant damage in the accident, and the driver, U.S., became trapped inside the vehicle.
Following reports from nearby citizens, police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene in a short time. As a result of the intensive efforts of the fire department, U.S. was extracted from where he was trapped and handed over to medical personnel.
It was learned that the driver, who was taken to Keşan State Hospital by ambulance, is in good health. Authorities announced that an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
