Critical day for Ekrem İmamoğlu in Silivri: Facing judges in 3 separate cases

CHP presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu will appear for hearings in three different cases today. Within the same day, the trial process will continue for his diploma case, the main case regarding the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in which he is among the defendants, and the case opened on charges of "political espionage."

HEARING IN THE "POLITICAL ESPIONAGE" CASE

The hearing for the case in which İmamoğlu is being tried while in custody on charges of "political espionage," alongside journalist Merdan Yanardağ, his political advisor Necati Özkan, and Hüseyin Gün, will be held today.

DIPLOMA CASE ALSO TO BE HEARD TODAY

The hearing for the case filed against İmamoğlu at the Istanbul 59th Criminal Court of First Instance, regarding allegations of "forgery of official documents in a chain manner related to his diploma," will also take place today.

TRIAL TO CONTINUE IN THE MAIN IMM CASE

The hearing for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality case, which has 414 defendants including the imprisoned İmamoğlu, will also continue today. The case, heard by the Istanbul 40th High Criminal Court, will be held in courtroom No. 1 at the Marmara Closed Prison Complex in Silivri.

THREE DIFFERENT CASES ON THE SAME DAY

Thus, Ekrem İmamoğlu will have appeared before judges today within the scope of three separate cases filed against him. İmamoğlu will be tried on the same day in the "political espionage" case, the diploma case, and the main case regarding the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
