The Cybersecurity Presidency has been established by a Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette.
The Cybersecurity Presidency has been established by a Presidential decree published in the Official Gazette today.
The Presidency, which will be directly affiliated with the Presidency of the Republic, will implement the decisions of the Cybersecurity Board, which will include the ministries of Interior, Justice, National Defense, Transport and Infrastructure, and Industry and Technology, under the chairmanship of the President.
The Presidency, which will conduct studies in the fields of cybersecurity and the protection of information technology infrastructures, will also ensure coordination between public institutions.
Regarding the Cybersecurity Presidency, the AKP had recently submitted a legislative proposal to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). The proposal also included regulations regarding the organizational structure, duties, powers, and responsibilities of the presidency established by the decree.
