Date set for mass resignation of Özgür Özel's faction in CHP! When will the new party be founded?

While the absolute crisis and calls for an extraordinary convention continue within the CHP, allegations that elected Chairman Özgür Özel and his team will form a new party remain on the agenda.

Journalist Sinan Burhan, who is close to the government, made striking claims regarding CHP inner circles during a television program he attended.

Speaking on Tv100, Burhan argued that CHP leader Özel is having difficulty controlling potential defections within the party, stating, "There is a very serious buildup of pressure on Özgür Özel's side. Özel has reached a point where he can no longer prevent the resignation of deputies close to him."

Arguing that the statements made by CHP spokesperson Müslim Sarı regarding the convention process have caused a loss of morale within the party leadership, Burhan suggested that the process in question could take approximately one year. He claimed that for this reason, the party leadership's expectations regarding the process have significantly diminished.

"DIKBAYIR'S RESIGNATION DISRUPTED THE PLAN"

Sinan Burhan also claimed that the resignation of independent deputy Ümit Dikbayır was a move directed at the Özgür Özel administration. Burhan stated, "Özel wanted the resignations to take place within a specific schedule, but Dikbayır's resignation disrupted this plan."

2 MORE RESIGNATIONS ON THE WAY

Stating that new separations are being discussed in Ankara's political circles, Burhan claimed that some figures within the CHP are evaluating the option of resignation. Burhan said it is being discussed that Adnan Beker and Cemal Enginyurt could also resign in the coming period.

ALL EYES TURNED TO JULY

Arguing that some figures close to the CHP leadership have also brought up their demands to leave the party, Burhan suggested that the activity will increase next week.

Burhan gave a notable date, saying, "The expected mass resignations will begin on July 1, following Özel's final group meeting."

ALLEGATION OF PREPARATIONS FOR A NEW PARTY

One of the inside pieces of information shared by Sinan Burhan was the initiative for a new party. Burhan claimed that it is planned for the program, staff, and roadmap of the new formation to be announced to the public on July 24, the 103rd anniversary of the Treaty of Lausanne.

Evaluating the name "Yürüyüş" (The March) that has come to the agenda for the party, Burhan stated that there are criticisms in some circles that this name has too much of a leftist and marginal connotation. He expressed that a different name that would appeal to broader segments might be considered.
