A simultaneous operation was carried out in Bolu this morning as part of an investigation into the municipality. Four people were taken into custody during the operation, which was launched over allegations of "rigging bids" and "embezzlement."
Following work conducted by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams, dawn raids were carried out at pre-determined addresses. Bolu Deputy Mayor Rasim Özdemir, Parks and Gardens Manager Neşe Esen, and Samet Bilge and Tural Ateş, who work in the same department, were apprehended in the operation.
It was learned that the detained suspects were taken to gendarmerie stations to have their statements taken after undergoing health checks at the hospital. It was stated that the investigation is continuing regarding allegations related to transactions within the municipality.
