Deniz Yücel to Erdoğan: Someone whose own aides turned out to be FETÖ members cannot lecture others

Regarding President Erdoğan's remarks about Özgür Özel, Yücel stated, "No one can threaten or lecture the Chairman of Turkey's leading party in this manner.

Someone whose own aides even turned out to be FETÖ members certainly cannot do so, and certainly cannot lecture!"

Yücel noted the following in his statement:

"There is no one who has served as Chairman of the Republican People's Party who has not been threatened, attacked, or subjected to lynching and assassination attempts.

The threat directed at our Chairman, Mr. Özgür Özel, is not only directed at him, but also at democracy and the national will.

No one can threaten or lecture the Chairman of Turkey's leading party in this manner.

The Republican People's Party was founded on the battlefields. It does not bow to oppression, and it does not yield to threats, no matter who they come from!"
