Denizbank founding CEO Hakan Ateş comments on 'Seçil Erzan' case. Speaks for the first time
Denizbank founding CEO Hakan Ateş has made his first comments regarding the Seçil Erzan case, which continues to dominate Turkey's agenda with the famous names involved in the case file.
Hakan Ateş, a key figure in the 'Seçil Erzan money laundering and fraud case' that has occupied the public agenda for nearly a year, spoke to Magazinburada.net for the first time.
"WE VIEW THE INCIDENT AS AN INSTITUTION"
Hakan Ateş, a central figure in the case involving popular names from the world of football such as Fatih Terim, Arda Turan, Semih Kaya, and Muslera, made the following statement regarding the tumultuous process:
"I have never given a statement personally. We view the incident as an institution.
In a place where 15 thousand people work, sometimes wrong things can happen.
Sometimes people who engage in wrong behavior exist in every bank. Our misfortune is that the opposing party consists of people who are public figures.
This is a misfortune, of course, but what can we do, that is how life is."
Hakan Ateş continued his words by saying, "The law is the law for everyone; at the end of the day, there was no suggestion from anyone (including the President, as has been alleged).
They keep saying that. We will do what is necessary according to how the normal legal process concludes.
We have done so until today, but the events are very clear...
I will not go into further commentary."
