The controversy that began when Atatürk was removed from the photograph in the General Directorate of Security's special post on August 26 for the 103rd anniversary of the Great Offensive Victory has continued to grow.

Following the rising public reaction, it was learned that the Head of the Media, Public Relations and Protocol Department, Güngör Selçuk, was removed from his post and transferred to the Strategy Department with the status of an officer.

According to T24, Kürşat Özhan, the Chief of Staff to the Director General of Security Mahmut Demirtaş, has been appointed as the acting replacement for the vacant position.

It had previously come to light that a police officer who prepared the post in question had also been reassigned to another province.

On the other hand, it was known that the appointment process of Güngör Selçuk had also caused controversy within the police organization.
