The lifeless body of 21-year-old university student Rojin Kabaiş, who had not been heard from since leaving her dormitory in Van, was found 18 days later. Rojin's brother made striking statements regarding his sister's death.
The tragic news of 21-year-old university student Rojin Kabaiş has left everyone in mourning. Kabaiş's funeral was held in Diyarbakır amidst tears.
STRIKING RESULTS FROM PHONE EXAMINATIONS
Striking details have emerged from the examination of Rojin Kabaiş's phone. It was revealed that before her death, the young woman had searched the internet for "How is an autopsy performed, how to go to heaven, what happens to the money in a deceased person's bank account?" The book she had checked out from the university library before her death was 'Kayıp Aranıyor' (Missing Person Wanted) by Sait Faik Abasıyanık.
HER BROTHER DESCRIBED ROJIN
Speaking to TV100 following Rojin's death, her brother Ömer Kabaiş made striking statements regarding his sister's passing. Her brother described Rojin as a quiet, calm, introverted person who only focused on her studies and was devoted to her family.
HE SPOKE ABOUT THOSE ALLEGATIONS
Regarding the claims that Rojin committed suicide and the internet searches for "how to go to heaven," Ömer Kabaiş said, "They accessed searches like those through the Gmail account registered on the phone. A single Gmail account can be used by many people. There is no definitive information that these were searched from my sister's phone. We absolutely do not believe there was any thought of suicide; she was a person devoted to her religion."
WHAT HAPPENED TO ROJIN?
When asked "What happened to Rojin?", her brother Kabaiş stated, "There is a fence between the village and the campus, but there is a security gap there. Beyond that, there is a world of filth, including beer bottles. We are thinking that perhaps she went in that direction and fell into the hands of bad people. We are focusing on the possibility that she was murdered. We do not consider anything like suicide. We want the person or people who did this to be found and punished in the most severe way possible."
