In the latest inspections conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, fake and adulterated food products have been exposed. It was determined that substances such as dye, starch, offal, and seed oil were mixed into staple products like meat, cheese, olive oil, honey, and spices. The list released to the public serves as a warning against unhealthy products.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continues to expose products that have been imitated or adulterated as a result of inspections carried out to ensure citizens' access to healthy food. With the latest update, the list of products involved in fraud has expanded. The identified companies, brands, and the types of fraud committed have been made public.

POULTRY MEAT USED INSTEAD OF BEEF

Controls revealed that in many kebab, sausage, doner, and lahmacun mixtures, poultry meat or offal (gizzards) was used instead of beef. For example:

The "Raw Adana Kebab" product of the business named Adana Kebap Dünyası-Emre Tatar was found to contain poultry meat.

It was determined that gizzards were used in the lahmacun filling of the business named 44 Sur Kardeşler-Sıddık Sur.

Kısmetoğlu Beyti Et Ürünleri was identified for a poultry meat mixture in its product named "Gold Dana Gurme Sucuk".

SEED OIL IN OLIVE OIL

Fraud was not limited to meat. The scale of adulteration in olive oil has also grown. Brands that sold products mixed with seed oil include:

Öz Dedemoğlu Grup - Gold Efe (Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil)

Zeki Koçhan - Ayvalık (Stone Pressed Cold Pressed Olive Oil)

Gök Senin Gıda (Unlabeled product)

Taş Fırın Cafe - Ümit Gözaydın (Early Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil)

Vegetable oil in cheese, starch in yogurt

Analyses of milk and dairy products revealed substances such as vegetable oil, natamycin, and starch. Some of those identified include:

Aybey Süt Ürünleri – Vegetable oil, natamycin, and starch were found in "Tulum Cheese".

Bufalo Besicilik - Vol Süt – It was determined that the "Kashar Cheese" had a low fat content and vegetable oil had been added.

07 Defne Mandıra – Cow's milk was used in "Afyon Cream".

SUGAR MIXTURE IN HONEY

Adulteration was detected in a large portion of honey sold under ambitious names like Anzer Honey. The Ministry announced these brands:

Saf Naturel Bal Gıda - Anzer Balcısı

Aydost Turizm Gıda – Adulteration was determined in three separate batches from the same firm.

Karadeniz Arıcılık – "Kovancıoğlu Comb Flower Honey" turned out to be fake.

Supplements and spices are also not safe

Inspections are not limited to staple foods. Pharmaceutical active ingredients were also found in herbal mixtures, chocolates, and coffee products.

Okkas Gıda – Such substances were found in Ginseng Chocolate and Betox Coffee products.

Arda Baharat - Sumac and Zümrüt Baharatları - Sweet Pepper products were found to contain banned food dyes.
