Halil Kaya: 'Dilan Polat and Engin Polat had me shot'

Following the launch of an investigation into the assets of social media influencer Dilan Polat and her husband Engin Polat, another allegation has been leveled against the pair.

In Eyüpsultan, Halil İbrahim Kalkan, who had gone out to a market with his child, was subjected to an armed attack by two assailants on a motorcycle.

According to an exclusive report by Habertürk reporter Mustafa Şekeroğlu, Kalkan was slightly injured after being shot in the legs during the attack.

"ENGİN POLAT HAD ME SHOT"

Making statements after the incident, Kalkan accused the famous influencer Dilan Polat and her husband Engin Polat. In a live broadcast he participated in, Kalkan claimed, "I was owed money by Engin Polat's father. I gave him 500 thousand TL in cash. His father was going to give me a beauty center franchise. Because he was in a tight spot at the time, I had my wife's gold jewelry sold and gave it to Engin Polat's father in a black bag. This happened in 2017, and I have been trying to get my money back ever since. Later, there was an issue between them and Banu (Parlak). He told me, 'Shoot Banu Parlak,' but I refused. The person who incited my shooting is Engin Polat."

5 PEOPLE APPREHENDED

Following the incident, teams from the Public Security Branch Office took action. As a result of the work carried out by the Murder Bureau teams, 2 suspects were identified. In an operation, the two individuals who carried out the armed attack were apprehended. The mastermind who hired the hitmen was also caught during the investigation. Two more people determined to be connected to the initial masterminds were also apprehended in the investigation. The investigation into the incident, in which a total of 5 people were apprehended, has been expanded.

4 PEOPLE ARRESTED

Following the investigation, the 5 people were sent to the courthouse. Of the 5 people sent to the courthouse, 4 were arrested and sent to prison. In the ongoing work, no connection between the suspects and Dilan Polat or Engin Polat could be found. A multi-faceted investigation into the incident is continuing.
