Harassment list crisis at Istanbul High School: Principal removed from office

A harassment list scandal at Istanbul High School continues to shake the school and the educational community. It is alleged that a group of 9th-grade students at the school prepared a harassment list regarding female students at the school.

Following this incident, it was claimed that 11th-grade students subjected the students named on the list to violence. While the events caused a major crisis at the school, administrators began taking steps in response to these developments.

At the beginning of the events, it was alleged that a group of ninth-grade students prepared and shared a list containing harassment targeting female students at the school. Some students whose names appeared on the list came to the fore with allegations that they were involved in the preparation of the harassment list. It was learned that six of these students were transferred to Adana Science High School, and one student was transferred to Ankara Science High School.

Following this situation, allegations emerged that 11th-grade students at the school had subjected the students named in the harassment list to violence. These events led to the initiation of a series of investigations at the school.

SCHOOL PRINCIPAL REMOVED FROM OFFICE

Following these serious events at the school, Istanbul High School principal Yılmaz Arslan was suspended. Arslan, who has been serving at the school since last year, will either be dismissed from his post or reinstated depending on the outcome of the investigation that has been launched.
