CHP Spokesperson Müslim Sarı used striking expressions in his criticisms of the NEW Party. Addressing those who left the CHP to form a new party, Sarı questioned what ideological and political differences the separation is based on.
Criticizing the NEW Party's split from the CHP, Sarı argued that there is no significant political difference between the party and the Six Arrows principles or the CHP program.
"What difference is there between you and the Six Arrows?"
Listing his questions for the NEW Party, Müslim Sarı used the following expressions:
"Why did you divide the CHP? Why did you build another party for yourselves by dividing Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's party?
We are asking our friends. What difference is there between you and the Six Arrows ideologically and politically? What difference is there from our program?
We cannot see any political difference. I don't think they can see it either."
"You want to build seats for yourselves"
Sarı stated that if the separation does not stem from a political difference, the justification for establishing a new party should be questioned.
The CHP spokesperson argued that the separation in question is artificial and continued his criticisms as follows:
"Well, if this is not a political separation, if there is an artificial separation, then why did you go to another party? Why did you establish another party?
There is only one explanation for this. You want to build seats for yourselves. You are looking for seats for yourselves.
You needed a party, you established that party, and you wanted to fragment and divide the CHP."
Sarı's statements have brought the debates regarding the political split between the CHP and the NEW Party back to the agenda.
