WhatsApp has begun rolling out a new update that expands event creation and management features within the app. With the new arrangement, users will be able to share the events they create not only with WhatsApp users but also with people who do not have an account via a link.
People who open the invitation link will be able to view event details and report their attendance status without downloading WhatsApp. Users who create events will also be able to add cover photos to their invitations, manage participants in more detail, and set custom reminders.
According to information provided by the company, some limitations are also being introduced regarding privacy. Invitees who do not have a WhatsApp account will not see the event owner's phone number alongside other guests they do not know. Furthermore, these individuals will only be able to access the event address after they have reported their attendance status.

MANAGEMENT FROM A SINGLE CENTER WITH EVENTS HOME
Another prominent part of the update is the Events Home section. This area consolidates tasks such as creating events, sending personalized invitations, tracking attendance responses, and viewing past or upcoming events into a single point.
Users will be able to see events they have been invited to, as well as events they have created themselves, in this section. The new area will be accessible via the Events option in the WhatsApp Settings menu.
WhatsApp announced that the new event features are being distributed gradually. For this reason, the features may not appear on some accounts immediately; the update is expected to reach a wider user base in the coming weeks.
