Horrific accident in Çorum! There are dead and injured
One person lost their life and 18 others were injured after a shuttle minibus carrying workers collided with a tanker loaded with asphalt in the Alaca district of Çorum. Health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene, and the injured were taken to hospitals.
A tanker loaded with asphalt, license plate 06 BY 8188, belonging to a road construction site and driven by Rıza Onar, collided with a minibus, license plate 19 AEY 959, carrying agricultural workers and driven by Kemal Çam, near the village of Kızıllı in Alaca on the Tokat-Ankara highway.
Upon notification, gendarmerie and health teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident.
According to initial findings, Nurten Akbaş died in the accident, while the drivers and passengers Sevim Özdemir (67), Belkız Çam (40), Sevda Yaman (37), Gülay Burcu (49), Nahide Barulay (61), Kahla Ahmed Ali Ali (29), Döne Çakır (62), Sara Nebil Abdulhadi (32), Neda Nedim Bin Yesan (24), Safiye Bolat (48), Münevver Darbaş (62), Ahmet El Esad (17), Songül Arıcı (45), Abdullah El Esad (15), Hasan Mohammed Hamad (29), and one unidentified person were injured.
The injured were transported by ambulance to Alaca State Hospital and Hitit University Erol Olçok Training and Research Hospital.
