İliç Investigation Commission: 'We will conduct inspections in Balıkesir'

İliç Investigation Commission: 'We will conduct inspections in Balıkesir'

Chairman of the TBMM İliç Mining Accident Investigation Commission and AKP Antalya Deputy Atay Uslu announced that the commission would conduct inspections at various mining sites and that they would examine the gold and silver mine in Balıkesir tomorrow.

The Parliamentary Investigation Commission, established to investigate all aspects of the disaster that occurred at the mine in the İliç district of Erzincan and to determine measures to prevent similar incidents, met under the chairmanship of AKP Antalya Deputy Atay Uslu.

In his opening speech at the meeting, Uslu stated that they have been listening to the relevant parties in a way that leaves no questions unanswered.

Noting that administrative and judicial investigations into the disaster are ongoing, Uslu expressed that they are also following these processes.

'WE WILL CONDUCT INSPECTIONS'

Atay Uslu said, "We will conduct inspections at different mining sites. Tomorrow, we will conduct inspections at the gold and silver mine located in the İvrindi district of Balıkesir. We are also creating a schedule for the coming week."

Following Commission Chairman Uslu's statements, the presentation by Prof. Dr. Candan Gökçeoğlu, a faculty member at the Hacettepe University Department of Geological Engineering, began.
