Istanbul dam occupancy rate rises to 34.71 percent

The rainfall that has been continuing in Istanbul since the beginning of the week continues to increase water levels in the dams. According to data from the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ), the water occupancy rate in Istanbul's dams was recorded at 34.71 percent as of Thursday, December 7.

This rate was 34.47 percent on the previous day, Wednesday, December 3. In other words, the water level in the dams increased by 0.24 percent in the last day.

According to İSKİ data, water levels in Istanbul's dams are as follows:

Ömerli Dam: 58.41

Darlık Dam: 49.15

Elmalı Dam: 80.41

Terkos Dam: 18.84

Alibey Dam: 43.49

Büyükçekmece Dam: 21.63

Sazlıdere Dam: 17.15

Istrancalar: 31.88

Kazandere Dam: 14.27

Pabuçdere Dam: 10.27

Dam occupancy rates had fallen to critical levels due to the drought experienced during the autumn and winter months. However, the recent rainfall has caused an increase in water levels in the dams.
