Airlines have warned passengers that the era of printed departure stamps paid when traveling abroad will end on January 1, 2025. With a decision published in the Official Gazette, the international departure fee had been increased from 500 liras to 710 liras.

Turkish Airlines (THY), Pegasus, AJet, and SunExpress stated in notifications to passengers via mobile applications, websites, and social media channels that international departure fee payments will henceforth be made through the digital tax office, airport kiosks, and contracted banks.

The notification noted that the era of printed international departure stamps will end as of January 1.

The announcement on Pegasus's website stated, "In accordance with the regulation of the Revenue Administration, the printed international departure stamp application will end as of January 1, 2025. After this date, departure fee payments cannot be accepted at airport counters. Channels where you can make your international departure fee payment include the digital tax office, the GİB mobile application, internet/mobile branches, counters, and ATMs of contracted banks, PTT, tax offices, and airport kiosks."

International departure fee stamp machines at airports have also been adapted to the new period.

IT HAD BEEN INCREASED ACCORDING TO THE REVALUATION RATE

The international departure fee was increased with the "General Communiqué on the Implementation of the International Departure Fee" published in the Official Gazette.

With the increase made at the revaluation rate, the fee, which was 500 liras, had risen to 710 liras as of 2025.
