Judicial control decision for 2 suspects in Gülistan Doku investigation
Tunceli State Hospital IT staff Burçin Yerlikaya and Yücel Erdem, who were detained in the Gülistan Doku investigation, have been released under judicial control by the court.
In the investigation into the disappearance of Gülistan Doku, a second-year Child Development student at Munzur University who has been missing in Tunceli since January 5, 2020, 12 of the 15 suspects detained were arrested, while judicial control measures were imposed on 3 others.
A red notice was also issued via Interpol for the fugitive suspect Umut Altaş, who is in the USA.
While the Tunceli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office continues its investigation into the incident, detention, search, and seizure warrants were issued for Tunceli State Hospital IT staff Burçin Yerlikaya and Yücel Erdem regarding allegations that Doku's hospital records were deleted. The 2 detained suspects were referred to the duty magistrate court following their statements at the prosecutor's office.
The court decided to release the 2 suspects under judicial control, imposing a travel ban on them.
