Kaboğlu:

27th Term CHP Istanbul Deputy and Constitutional Law Expert Prof. Dr. İbrahim Kaboğlu stated, "The revocation of Can Atalay's parliamentary membership in the TBMM General Assembly is legally null and void."

In a statement made on his social media account regarding the decision, Kaboğlu included the following remarks:

"By reading a 'de facto decision' text, which the Constitutional Court has registered as unconstitutional in two separate rulings, the TBMM has denied the constitutional order that is its own reason for existence.

The revocation of Can Atalay's parliamentary membership is legally null and void. Reading the Court of Cassation decision, which was determined in Constitutional Court rulings to have caused a violation, within the scope of Article 84/2 is unconstitutional.

The Parliament, which has turned into a crime scene where the People's Alliance has committed a constitutional crime, has distanced itself from its own reason for existence. After the 3rd Criminal Chamber of the Court of Cassation, the TBMM has also attempted to abolish the constitutional order."
