In the Kahvelipınar neighborhood of Gaziantep, 16-year-old Syrian national Muhammed Salih was stabbed and seriously injured during a fight that broke out at night.
According to allegations, a dispute broke out between Muhammed Salih and 12-year-old H.G. over a "looking the wrong way" issue. It was stated that as the argument quickly turned into a fight, H.G. wounded Salih in the chest and groin area with a knife he had with him.
Upon reports from bystanders, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Salih, who was taken to a private hospital after initial intervention, could not be saved despite all efforts by doctors.
Muhammed Salih's body was handed over to his relatives following an autopsy at the Gaziantep Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.
While H.G. was taken into custody following the incident, it was learned that the police investigation is ongoing.
