Meteorology issues heavy rain alert this time

According to information received from meteorological officials, heavy rainfall will be effective in many cities starting from noon, particularly in Eastern Anatolia and the Eastern Mediterranean. The expected rainfall in the north and east of Erzurum, the interior parts of Artvin, and the surroundings of Kars and Ardahan is predicted to be strong in some areas.

A similar rainfall forecast has been made for the Eastern Mediterranean region, specifically for Osmaniye, the eastern districts of Adana, the southwest of Kahramanmaraş, and the northern parts of Hatay. Experts urge citizens living in these cities, in particular, to be cautious against the risk of floods and water inundation.

Authorities point out that sudden floods, water inundation, lightning, occasional hail, and strong winds during rainfall could cause disruptions in transportation in these regions. It was emphasized that citizens should follow regional warnings and updates throughout the day.
