MHP candidate wins mayoral election in Aksaray's Sağlık town
According to unofficial results, MHP candidate Abdullah Tosun has won the repeat mayoral election in the town of Sağlık, located in the central district of Aksaray.
In Sağlık, where the Supreme Election Council (YSK) decided to hold repeat elections, 1,799 registered voters cast their ballots at 8 polling stations in schools. The votes were counted afterward.
According to unofficial results, MHP candidate Tosun was elected mayor with 806 votes, while AK Party candidate Mehmet Yiğit received 748 votes.
In the election held on March 31 in the town of Sağlık, MHP candidate Abdullah Tosun had received 763 votes, and AK Party candidate Mehmet Yiğit had received 762 votes.
In the town of Sağlık, the AK Party had objected to the election results on the grounds that "ineligible voters" had cast ballots in the March 31 elections, and following an investigation, the Supreme Election Council accepted the objection and decided to repeat the election.
