Minibus plunges into ravine in Düzce: Many injured
22 people were injured in an accident that occurred when a minibus carrying workers plunged into a ravine in Düzce. The injured workers were taken to the hospital after receiving medical intervention at the scene.
The accident occurred between the villages of Harmankaya and Dokuzdeğirmen. The minibus with license plate 63 AEU 932, driven by Ş.A. and carrying seasonal agricultural workers, lost control and overturned into a ravine in the Harmankaya area of the Cumayeri district.

Upon notification, health, gendarmerie, fire department, and Provincial Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) teams were dispatched to the region.
The 22 people injured in the accident, including children, were taken to the hospital after initial intervention by medical personnel. It was learned that some of the injured are in serious condition.

Cumayeri District Governor Taha Furkan Sönmezel and Mayor Mustafa Koloğlu arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation and receive information from the relevant authorities.
In his statement, Koloğlu said that according to the driver's testimony, the minibus plunged about 50 meters into the ravine after its brakes failed.

Stating that there were no fatalities, Koloğlu said, "Get well soon to us all."
It was learned that the seasonal agricultural workers were on their way back to their hometowns after completing hazelnut harvesting work in the Kocaali district of Sakarya.
