Minister Kurum announces the toll of forest fires: 92 structures heavily damaged in 5 provinces
Following the fires in Muğla, Antalya, Aydın, Balıkesir, and Mersin, damage assessments revealed that 92 units, 58 of which are residential, were damaged.
Damage assessment efforts carried out following the forest fires that have been effective in Muğla, Antalya, Aydın, Balıkesir, and Mersin in recent days have been completed. Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum announced that a total of 92 independent units in five provinces have been identified as heavily damaged or destroyed.
According to the data shared by Minister Kurum on his social media account, the province with the most damage recorded was Muğla. In Muğla, 43 independent units were recorded as heavily damaged or destroyed. The same assessment was made for 20 independent units each in Antalya and Aydın, 6 in Balıkesir, and 3 in Mersin.

In Muğla, Antalya, Aydın, Balıkesir, and Mersin, 92 independent units were identified as heavily damaged or destroyed.

It was reported that 58 of the 92 damaged or destroyed independent units are residential. The assessments made in the fire-affected regions are expected to form the basis for the support and reconstruction processes to be carried out after the disaster.
