Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Yumaklı: Fires are under control

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced that the forest fires that broke out in the Gördes district of Manisa and the Eşme district of Uşak have been brought under control.

In a post on his social media account, Yumaklı stated that the fires in Manisa and Uşak were brought under control through aerial and ground interventions.

He also expressed that the fire in the Bozdoğan district of Aydın is largely under control, while the fires that broke out in the Menderes district of İzmir and the Ula and Yatağan districts of Muğla are partially under control.

Yumaklı's statement is as follows:

"The forest fires in the Gördes district of Manisa and the Eşme district of Uşak have been brought under control as a result of aerial and ground interventions. Our cooling efforts are ongoing. The fire in Aydın's Bozdoğan is largely under control. The fires in the Menderes district of İzmir and the Ula and Yatağan districts of Muğla are partially under control. Our teams' intensive interventions continue."
