Minister Yerlikaya's 'Narkogüç' statement: 208 suspects apprehended in 31 provinces
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on his social media account that 208 suspects were apprehended in 31 provinces as part of the 'Narkogüç' operation.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya made statements via his social media account. In his post, Yerlikaya stated the following:
208 DETAINED
"208 suspects were apprehended in the 'Narkogüç' operation, which was carried out simultaneously in 31 provinces against drug traffickers! We will make life miserable for drug traffickers!"
The NARKOGÜÇ OPERATION was carried out simultaneously in 31 provinces by our Provincial Police Departments under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security's Department of Anti-Narcotic Crimes.
The operations, which were organized against drug traffickers and individuals wanted for drug-related crimes in Aydın, İstanbul, Malatya, Bitlis, Ankara, Samsun, Adana, Gaziantep, Antalya, İzmir, Şanlıurfa, Kırklareli, Sakarya, Tekirdağ, Hatay, Osmaniye, Balıkesir, Düzce, Niğde, Yalova, Muğla, Elazığ, Ordu, Bilecik, Karaman, Denizli, Kırşehir, Sinop, Zonguldak, Diyarbakır, and Çankırı, involved 315 teams, 944 personnel, 2 aircraft, and 35 narcotic detector dogs.
247.5 kg of Skunk, 6.5 kg of cannabis, various amounts of heroin, bonzai, methamphetamine, and narcotic pills, 15 pistols, 13 rifles, and cash were seized! 208 suspects were apprehended. I congratulate our heroic police officers who carried out the operation. We will not allow drug dealers to poison our society, especially our youth! Our fight against drugs will continue with determination!
