Ministry of Health launches REDES

Sharing on his social media account, Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu announced the launch of the 'Risk-Based Audit System' (REDES), stating, "REDES helps prevent potential risks in healthcare delivery by identifying situations that could pose human health or financial risks through data analysis methods."

In a statement on his social media account, Memişoğlu noted that they continue to strengthen digital inspection systems to combat illegality in healthcare.

Stating that they have launched a major digital audit mobilization in addition to the routine inspections conducted by the Ministry, Memişoğlu noted the following:

"In this direction, our Inspection Board is developing new methods and techniques for auditing. It is introducing digital inspection systems that increase effectiveness and efficiency. In this new era, we have launched the 'Risk-Based Audit System' (REDES), a next-generation inspection system with a success rate of over 90 percent. REDES helps prevent potential risks in healthcare delivery by identifying situations that could pose human health or financial risks through data analysis methods."

"440 HEALTHCARE MANAGERS HAVE BEEN TRAINED"

Pointing out that there are 210 REDES representatives across 81 provinces within this scope, Memişoğlu emphasized that risky areas are identified through manager screens defined for central and field administrators.

Noting that digital capabilities are being used more effectively in audit activities with the new model, Memişoğlu said, "It ensures that potential risks are prevented and the inspection process is accelerated. Within the scope of the directive issued on December 5, 2024, we are continuing REDES training activities in all 81 of our provinces. To date, a total of 440 healthcare managers have been trained in 39 different provinces. By introducing the methods followed in REDES, both awareness has been raised in this area and deterrence against potential risks has been increased."

According to the statement made by the Ministry regarding the subject, digital audits have been initiated in all healthcare institutions under the instruction of Minister Memişoğlu.

Within the scope of the Presidential circular on the "Regular and Effective Fulfillment of Audit Activities," the aim is to provide healthcare services in an effective, efficient, and equitable manner.

The Inspection Board aims to increase effectiveness and efficiency by developing its methods and techniques regarding auditing.

Awareness and deterrence are being ensured by introducing the methods followed in REDES.
