Ministry of Transport statement: 'There is a global outage in WhatsApp services'
In a statement, the Deputy Minister of Transport announced that there is a global outage in WhatsApp services.
Many users are facing access issues on popular social media platforms WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook.
Due to this global outage, only partial access is available to Instagram and Facebook. An official statement regarding the matter has also been issued by the ministry.
Some users reported that they are having difficulty logging into the applications and are unable to post content.
STATEMENT FROM THE MINISTRY
The statement regarding the issue was made by Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Ömer Fatih Sayan.
In a post on his social media account, Sayan stated, "It has been reported by our National Cyber Incident Response Center, TRCert, that there is a global service outage in WhatsApp services. Our teams are monitoring the process." he said.
META APOLOGIZED
In a statement from Meta, it was said, "We are aware that a technical issue is affecting some users' access to our applications. We are working to return things to normal as quickly as possible and we apologize for the inconvenience."
